Regional Food Bank
This week in place of our usual NW OKC Rotary Club weekly luncheon, we volunteered at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help pack food so others could be offered a lunch. Lots of fun and work to be had, along with members from additional clubs within the District came out to volunteer. Once it was all said and done, we were told for the day we had helped pack over 50,000 pounds of food. Hard to believe, but my body is thinking it felt more like 50,000 tons (someone handed me a lift jack and said not to run over anyone - I only stepped on one toe). Next week (Tuesday) we will be back to our normal lunch meeting at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club and our guest speaker will be from OKC Spark - Oklahoma City's Professional Women's Softball Team. If you'd like to join us, left me know.
