Newest MemberToday at our weekly NW OKC Rotary Club luncheon at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club, President Jere Lee Jones and member Vivian Gering helped induct our newest member Doug Hanigar. Having been a guest for the past several weeks, Doug was officially welcomed into our club. Doug mentioned one of the items that drew him to Rotary was the opportunity to serve and give back to the community alongside other like minded individuals. Welcome to Rotary District 5750 and the NW OKC Rotary Club.

New President 2026This week at our weekly NW OKC Rotary Club at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club, we welcomed in our newest Club President - Jere Jones. Jere takes over from Chase Dickens, now the Immediate Past President of our Club. With Jere's wife Jeanean Yanish Jones, a former Rotary District 5750 President, Jere no doubt will have an outstanding year. The Club is looking forward to the leadership of President Jere Jones. Also during the meeting, Lance Boxer was name the Club's Rotarian of the Year. Even though having been with the club a short time, Lance has provided fantastic speakers for our Club, as well as helping out with the many service projects of the Club. In addition to the successful Santa Photo Booth the club works each year at The Shoppes at Northpark and providing a large number of donations back into the community, the club also grew in size welcoming in many new members over the past year. We are looking forward to what the New Year brings to our club, not only in the community service we can perform, the new members that will join us, but also how we can serve more in Rotary District 5750. If you have considered learning more about Rotary, please feel free to join us on Tuesdays, Noon to 1pm, at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, July 14th, 2026 from Noon to 1pm. ![]() ![]() |
President Induction CeremonyDuring our NW OKC Rotary Club luncheon on June 24th at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club, we installed our new President Chase Dickens. The past year Daylene Sooter Bachman has been an excellent President leading our club by continuing many activities and introducing new activities as well. Our new President, Chase Dickens, has served as Secretary, President Elect, along with a part in each weeks meeting with Cares and Concerns. Our club's leadership was in fantastic hands this past year and will continue to have great leadership with our new President and Board.

Regional Food BankThis week in place of our usual NW OKC Rotary Club weekly luncheon, we volunteered at Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help pack food so others could be offered a lunch. Lots of fun and work to be had, along with members from additional clubs within the District came out to volunteer. Once it was all said and done, we were told for the day we had helped pack over 50,000 pounds of food. Hard to believe, but my body is thinking it felt more like 50,000 tons (someone handed me a lift jack and said not to run over anyone - I only stepped on one toe). Next week (Tuesday) we will be back to our normal lunch meeting at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club and our guest speaker will be from OKC Spark - Oklahoma City's Professional Women's Softball Team. If you'd like to join us, left me know.
